Get a Free ProposalDatabase : Public

Making your data visible to the public can be complicated, but the process is much simpler if you have it stored in a database. Using your existing database or creating one for you, we are able to build pages that retrieve certain data from your database based on any criteria you choose. We'll construct administrative screens that will allow you to make changes to the data and have them appear on the site in realtime. Whether your business is products, services, or relationships, a public database will allow your web site to take on a dynamic life of its own, and put more power into the hands of your visitors.

Case Study : PHFE Management Solutions

PHFE Management Solutions manages a large number of nonprofit and government programs throughout the country. A list of these programs and details of their nonprofit goals are kept in a MySQL database, from which results can be searched and displayed on the web site. The database is centrally administered using a series of custom PHP database management scripts.

Case Study : The Volunteer Center, South Bay

The Volunteer Center of South Bay maintains a listing of available volunteer opportunities in the South Bay, CA area. Visitors can see a variety of information on each of the openings available. A flat file database stores volunteer opportunity information, which is retrieved and displayed using CGI scripts. The list is managed by Volunteer Center staff through a series of administration screens.

Case Study: Green Hills Memorial Park

Green Hills Memorial Park utilizes a legacy AS400 system on which they originally maintained over 74,000 interment records. We ported this historical data to form the foundation for the new database application we created. They wanted to make their database of interment records available and searchable online. To fulfill this requirement, we developed a set of web-based tools to allow their staff to add or update interment services records. It provided an easy way to present upcoming service schedules to the public.

Their web site features a burial plot lookup feature which displays exactly where a certain plot lies in the park. A link to purchase flowers automatically carries over the plot location information, which informs the flower shop exactly where to place the flowers.

Case Study: Kawa Golf

The Kawa Golf site utilizes a MySQL database and custom PHP code to provide a framework for their golf contact management concept. The Kawa Network is a service which allows golfers wishing to golf group outings to find eachother easily. It relates golfers based on their business function, golf ability level, and location, and provides an anonymous way for them to contact one another. The site also provides a dynamic listing of golf tournaments and tee time specials, administered through a web-based control panel.

Case Study: Torrance Memorial Medical Center

Torrance Memorial Medical Center approched us to create a searchable database of jobs accessible through their web site. Using CGI scripts and a flat file database, we created a dynamic display of open positions at the Medical Center. Staff can add or delete positions as they become available or are filled through a simple set of management screens.

Torrance Memorial also makes available a dynamic list of baby arrivals, which is managed through a flat file database as well. Clicking on a button displays the baby's photo and a message from the new parents.
